True 24 hour live casinos
One of the great benefits of the internet and most of the service available on it, is availability.
Back in the day when I was a kid and wanted to find some information that wasn’t contained in the family Funk & Wagnalls encyclopedia set, I’d have to go to the library. And this of course could only be done between the hours of 9am to 4pm.
Today, any information you want is as far away as your iPhone, and accessible 24/7. And it’s not just information.
Goods and services are available for perusal and purchase round the clock on the internet. Amazon doesn’t go offline at 6pm each night and turn its servers back on at 9am the next doesn’t day. eBay doesn’t restrict bidding to business hours. Imagine performing a search on Google and instead of receiving a page of search results (in 0.023 seconds) you get a message saying,
“Sorry, Google is now closed for the day. Our hours of operation are 8:00 a.m to 6:00p.m ET. Please try your search again during these hours. Thank you for your patience”
This would be stupid, and totally counter to the spirit of the Internet. The Internet is a medium that never sleeps; it is always open for business; it is just always there when you want or need it.
For this reason I always think of any service provider trying to provide an online service using an ‘old world’ time schedule as being a bit behind the times. Like that old bomb doing 40, driving Miss Daisy along the express motorway, it just doesn’t seem to be in the right place. And from a competitiveness standpoint, if you’re going up against true 24/7 offerings with your 9 to 5er then you’re turning up to a gunfight with a knife.
This holds true for online casino gaming. If you’re not open for business 24 hours then your really need to rethink what you’re doing online. And while his has never been an issue for RNG game operators, which have been accessible 24/7 since inception (the games that is, not necessarily customer service which is another issue!) live casinos, which have a human rostering element to consider, are a little different.
Casinos can’t afford to have a bunch of dealers standing at tables twiddling their thumbs in the wee hours of the morning when no players are logged on. For this reason, some casinos or rather their platform providers, just don’t offer games at times when demand doesn’t justify making tables available.
Fortunately, there are also casinos out there with the player bases big enough to justify table/dealer availability for all their games around the clock.
And here they are – the platforms/casinos that never close for business and have full game range and large dealer range non matter time you logon:
The 24 hour live casinos…
Evolution Gaming casinos – Blackjack, Baccarat (Standard, Pairs), Roulette (European, French) all 24/7
888.com | Unibet | Victor Chandler
Playtech casinos (Asian dealer room) – Blackjack, Baccarat, (Std, In-running, pairs, progressive), Roulette (Euro, French)
Playtech casinos (European dealer room) – Blackjack, Baccarat, European roulette
William Hill | EuroGrand | BetFred
Vuetec casinos (From Fitzwilliam casino) – Blackjack (Early payout), Baccarat, European roulette
Falling short of the mark…
Microgaming’s casinos. Until they get their live blackjack game up 24/7 they are don’t make it into the above list.
Supercasino. The UK ‘for TV casino’ still running on evening broadcasts only.
