Evolution three-peats Live casino supplier of the year

EGRB2BAnother year, another EGR B2B “Live casino supplier of the year” award for Evolution Gaming.

The 2012 title is their third in a row, and means they remain the only winner of this award since it was introduced in 2010.

The EGR B2B awards are hosted each year by EGaming Review Magazine and this year they took place at The Atrium at Wembley stadium on May 10. Any company that supplies products/services to online gambling operators can throw their hat into the ring to be judged against competing suppliers in any of the 30 or so categories that include just about every form of net gaming delivery… from sports betting platforms, to bingo networks to mobile innovations.

In the Live casino supplier of the year the shortlist included Playtech, Microgaming, MediaLiveCasino and of course Evolution.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t a player voted award.  Winners are picked by a panel of judges consisting largely of execs from a bunch of the industries biggest online gambling operators.  Of the 18 judges on the panel,  7 were from operators who license the Evolution Gaming product (John Anderson – 888, James Arnold – Sportingbet, Rick Brownlow – Sportingbet, Christopher Coyne – Paddy Power, Gareth Edwards – 888, Richard Flint – Sky Betting & Gaming, John O’Malia – BetClic Everest) and 3 were from operators who used Playtech’s live games (Peter Marcus – Betfair, Tim Turner-  Betfair, Jim Mullen – William Hill Online).  So you’d expect Evolution Gaming to go quite well!

Having said this, I hazard a guess that a player voted award could well produce a similar result as there’s no doubt Evolution Gaming do things very well.
