Live Baccarat Controlled Squeeze – a sneak peek

In their never ending quest to improve players’ live gaming experience, Evolution Gaming have found a new home home for their high limit Fortune VIP and Grand VIP blackjack tables. A little more glitz and seclusion, befitting tables with minimums aimed at players more accustomed to playing in private suites than on the general casino floor.

They now occupy a gold adorned room of their own.

Well, almost on their own. In the background is a new table that caught my attention. Unmistakably baccarat…but with only just discernible glass panels under the cards. This is something their recently introduced baccarat tables do not have.

This is Evolution’s new Controlled Baccarat Squeeze table.

At this new table, players will have the opportunity to individually control the squeeze, which is different to Evolution’s existing Baccarat Squeeze table, at which the dealer squeezes the cards on behalf of all players, and all players see the card reveal at the same time.

Controlled squeeze will allow the highest staking player on a given position (Banker or Player) to choose which parts of the card (corners and edges) are to be squeezed by simply clicking or tapping on the corner of each card (on their game UI) to peel back the overlay mask and reveal the card value, before other seated players get a look.

This is a more accurate re-recreation of the baccarat squeeze ritual as it takes place in Macau’s casinos, and those  superstitious peekers out there will like this as an online alternative.

Glass panel in-lays in the table, with cameras integrated beneath allow for the controlled peek by individual players.

Where to play Controlled Squeeze Baccarat?

Controlled squeeze is yet to debut online. At least is is yet to make an appearance at any of the Evolution game the early adopters (William Hill, 888, Unibet, Leo Vegas).  This is sure to happen any time now.

I’m looking forward to getting in early and controlling the squeeze before that honor becomes way too expensive.
