...almost

All that's needed is Governor Christie's signature and NJ residents will be playing blackjack and roulette served online by Atlantic City casinos...

Well today is D-day. Will Christie sign, veto or default?

The smart money says he has succumbed to pressure from Caesars Entertainment to veto which would be a shame. But you just never know in the world of politics.

I'm off to bed now...here's hoping I'll wake to the news of a new era in US online gambling...the first intrastate net-gambling domino to fall (http://www.livedealer.org/blog/2011/03/us-states-intrastate-online-gambling/) ;)

cheers all

Not to be unfortunately.

As expected Christie vetoed the bill.
Caesars Entertainment got their way.
The 63 (out of 74) elected representatives of the NJ State Assembly who voted for the measure, did not.
