Live roulette at Lucky Live, and other live casinos powered by Vuetec's Distance Gaming platform, may be distinguished from competing live roulette platforms based on a number of key attributes...some good and some not so good.

Real Bricks and Mortar casino roulette game

The first point of difference is the fact that the vision is streamed from a real terrestrial casino and not a purpose built live dealer studio.  Whether or not this adds to the offering is debatable, but it is an undeniable point of difference that sets it aside from roulette games offered at Playtech, Evolution and other platform providers.  On the one hand, you have the novelty of seeing other players playing at the table from within the casino, and the game is being conducted by a Fitzwilliam Card Club croupier.  On the other, the vision is cumbersome and the table environment not tailored to provide ideal video streaming conditions (view orientation, lighting, dealer attention to the camera, dealer chat, etc).

Java platform

The game interface is served via Distance Gaming's Java technology.  The resulting look and feel is (like the vision) clunky by comparison with other live roulette games available.  While bet and customization options are all clearly and intuitively presented, the movement and graphics won't dazzle you and the video itself is of poor quality.

Free play

This is a great feature and one not offered at most live casinos.  You are actually able to load the game and place bets with 'play' money, allowing you to get a good feel for the game before playing for real.  While other platforms enable you to watch their live games without betting, you still need to register a 'real' account before being able to do so.

Features

- wheels used: Cammegh Mercury2

- Free play option available;

- Browser play: available in Java, no download required (apart from Java applet);

- History: full bet history available;

- Time between spins: considerable;

- Variety of bet ranges: see roulette limits page.

Live roulette from Fitzwilliam Card Club - place your bets

During the time afforded to place bets, the camera pans right back to give you a good view of the casino floor.

Bet instructions are clear and simple to use.

Live roulette from Fitzwilliam Card Club - last bets

Watch the mad scramble of other players within the casino placing their bets at the 'last bets call'.  Here the camera orientation changes.

Live roulette from Fitzwilliam Card Club - zoom on spin result

At the end of the spin the camera zooms right in on the wheel to show you where the ball has landed.  However you will probably find the vision is of such poor quality that making out the white ball isn't an easy task.

Not to worry...a bet marker is clearly placed on the graphic table to indicate the result.
