NetplayTV cancels Stanley Bet Contract
5 January 2010, Staff writer
Its been
a frenetic start to the new year for the team at NetPlayTV with deals seemingly
happening on a weekly basis.
In the same week that they announced the
peppercorn sale of Abstract Gaming,
they have also announced that their pilot streaming arrangement with Stanley Bet
International would be discontinued.
According to the company's website, the arrangement will be terminated by mutual
agreement effective immediately. In July last year, NetplayTV
and Stanley struck a deal whereby Netplay would provide a stream of their
roulette TV product for display on terminals across selected Stanley retail
betting outlets - a win win on the face of it with Stanley getting a great new
product for their customers and Netplay growing their distribution channel.
Following a review of the pilot's results however, both parties have decided to
can it.
According to a NetPlay statement:
"Following a review of the pilot trial, the company has
decided to cease supplying StanleyBet International with a live roulette feed to
its overseas betting outlets...The company will continue to develop its supply
of live feeds into fixed-odds betting terminals through other distribution
channels in fully regulated markets."
