Microgaming Pre-empts New Live Dealer Games

Microgaming
took the opportunity at last weeks G2E conference and Expo in Macau to pull the
wraps off some new games it plans to launch in live deal format later this year,
as well as showcase its current offering.
Microgaming are an online casino industry giant, ranking as one of the largest
casino and poker software development shops by any measure...revenue, number of
licensee casinos, number of offered games or length of time operating.
They were quick to launch a live dealer offering so as not to lose any ground to
rival Playtech, and now offer live dealer baccarat and roulette.
Microgaming's live dealer games have been tested by eCOGRA for compliance to
their best practice operating and player protection framework and have been
certified in this regard. Features of current games that were highlighted
at the Expo included a laser verification system in roulette to increase read
accuracy and mitigate any possible dealer error.
It was also revealed that Asian time zone and lingual support capabilities were
being beefed up with new multi-lingual support centers opening in Singapore and
the Philippines. And the new games that were unveiled and earmarked for
hard launch in the coming year also suggested an Asian centric focus for this
new format.
The new games were Showhand, Dou Di Zhu and Big 2. All favorites on the
gaming tables in Macau and other Asian casino hotspots, but not necessarily well
known in Western casinos. Nevertheless, the new games will be welcomed by
Micogaming's licensee casinos who have to date not been able to offer the game
range of competing live casinos.
No indication was given exactly when the new games will be made available to
licensee casinos. |
