Evolution Gaming to Power Ladbrokes
8 December 2009, Staff writer
In a not entirely unexpected development, Ladbrokes and Evolution Gaming have
just announced that they have signed license agreement for use of
Evolution's live casino platform.
The new deal was announced yesterday, and means that
Ladbrokes' incumbent live gaming solution (provided by CWC Gaming) will be
replaced in the near future although exactly when this will occur was not
detailed.
Ladbrokes Online MD John O'Reilly said of the new deal:
“Signing with Evolution means we are taking our offering to the next level. This
improved live dealer service will enable us to continue to expand our online
customer base, which currently stands at almost three quarters of a million
active clients."
Ladbrokes were early adopters of video streamed casino games,
using Costa Rican based CWC Gaming for a number of years now. CWC Gaming
claim to be first major provider of a live casino solution, and are also
operators of pioneer casino, Casino Web Cam.
But in the last year or so, the industry has evolved considerably with regard to
the quality of platform offerings available and a raft of large online gambling operators
have signed up to these newer, more sophisticated platforms - Evolution
Gaming in particular.
Evolution counts the likes of Unibet, Blue Square, Gala
Coral, 888.com, Expekt, Victor Chandler and Party Gaming as adopters of their
product. This new license deal will allow Ladbrokes to keep pace with
its competitors, while Evolution will need to consider expanding floor space in
its Riga, Latvia dealer studio again!
When the new platform is live, Ladbrokes' players will be
able to play live blackjack, roulette and baccarat.
