Novomatic's Live Roulette Product in Andalusia, Spain
30 September 2009, Staff writer
Here's an interesting concept. Take off your slippers
and put on the dress shoes and make the trip to the casino
to play roulette. Not your typical casino roulette where you sit at the
table along with other players and the croupier conducting the game...but online
live roulette played from a terminal!
I'm reticent to can this concept. After all, live online
casino gaming is what
this site is all about. But to be honest if I'm going to make the effort
to actually visit a real casino, give me the real thing.
Not so for Spanish players it seems, who, according to game manufacturer
Novomatic are responding well to their new game. Casino Barcelona were the
first to sign up for the Novo TouchBet Live-Roulette system in June this
year. Now Gran Casino Aljarafe in Sevilla has ordered the first (2) of
these installations in the autonomous Spanish region of Andalusia.
The installation includes 12 terminals for players to bet
from as well as giant plasma screens streaming the vision of the live roulette
wheel that has ball sensing technology and a dealer conducting the game
from a studio somewhere.
The concept apparently attracted significant interest from
Novomatic customers at the recent FER INTERAZAR gaming show held from September
25 in Madrid.
Apparently Novomatic's customers and players haven't yet caught on that you
don't need to visit the casino if you are happy with a live video streamed deal!
