Playtech Live TV Gaming

General:

In early 2010 Playtech released a range of live 'TV games'.  They are similar in to more established casino TV games operated by Smart Live Casino and Supercasino in that they are:

  • developed with mass audience play in mind;

  • they are hosted by presenters with a television/media/celebrity background (in fact at least one former Smart Live Casino presenter is now hosting the Playtech games); and

  • they look & feel more like game shows (with you as the player) rather than traditional casino games.

However, there are also key distinctions:

  • the Playtech games are presently NOT broadcast on any television channels in the UK or abroad - they are purpose developed for webcast only; and

  • the Playtech games are available round the clock.

Dealer/table range:

These are mass-play games so dealer and available table range isn't that relevant.  At any given time, 1 presenter and 1 table is available for each game, and there is no limit to the number of players that can take part.  Around a dozen presenters, all with television and media backgrounds service the games 24/7.

Look and feel:

These are not casino games. They are game show games.  Yes, standard European roulette rules, odds and payouts apply, and you bet with real money - but the games are designed for mass viewing and play.  The webcast drips showbiz, with eloquent and attractive presenters professionally calling the game to well versed script.  The background sound-track and graphics are loud and flashy (you can turn the sound off if you like).

Interaction with presenters is not possible.  Cool game features include a clear representation of all bets placed on the table each round so you can see where all the action is.  When you win, you player name is scrolled across the screen for all players to see.

Casinos:

This is a relatively new game format so only a handful of Playtech casinos have thus far adopted it.  Those that have include - Europa and Casino Tropez.

Game range:

3 mass-play roulette games - Club Roulette, Roulette Royale, Double Action Roulette...
