Best live dealer casinos for players from China | Macau SAR | Hong Kong
Macau
China's Special Administrative Region of Macau is now by many
measures the largest terrestrial casino gaming destination in the world, with
almost 4,500 gaming tables spread across its current 31 casinos. Situated
less than an hours flight for over 1 billion people, and one of the few
jurisdictions in the region presently where gambling is legal, it is no wonder
Macau has established itself as the world's new Las Vegas. Not
surprisingly some of Vegas' bigger players are trying to get a foothold here
with Steve Wynn (Wynn Macau) and Sheldon Adelson (The Venetian Macau) already
operating casinos and planning more. Australian casino tycoon James
Packer, in partnership with Lawrence Ho's Melco International, opened the
massive City of Dreams in mid 2009.
In all 6 corporations have concessions from
Macau Gaming Inspection to
operate traditional casinos in Macau, with Stanley Ho's Sociedade de Jogos de
Macau a dominant player. Macau Gaming Inspection does not presently
offer online casino concessions and is silent on the matter of player access to
offshore online casinos.
Hong Kong
Like Singapore, Hong Kong
operates a closed gambling shop with the Government sanctioned
Hong Kong Jockey Club the only
operator authorized to accept online bets. The HKJC is primarily a
wagering (horse racing) shop but also offers sports betting and lotteries
terrestrially and online.
China
Aside from Macau and Hong Kong, gambling in China, both
online and terrestrially is illegal.
Best live casino for Chinese players
Despite mainland China's prohibition on online gambling, curiously many
internet casinos offer services tailored (with regard to local language,
currency, support etc) to Chinese players.
