Sic Bo Rules
The Object of the Game
Three dice are revealed by the croupier after having been tumbled in a
receptacle. The object is to correctly predict the values of some number of the
dice or the sum of the dice before they're revealed.
How to Play the Game
The Bets
Bets are placed directly on the sic bo table, which has squares labeled with
different types of bets. You may bet on as many squares as you like. Each bet
must be made in accordance with the minimum and maximum table limits, which vary
from table to table. Players must place and confirm their bets before the end of
the betting period, which ends when the croupier announces "No more bets."
The Play
Immediately after the betting period, the croupier covers the dice in their
receptacle, pulls on a handle three times, and reveals the dice. The values of
the dice are announced and all winning squares on the table are lit up. The
table is cleared of all losing wagers, and then the winners are paid. Once the
table is completely clear, the croupier announces the beginning of the next
betting period.
Types of Bets
The following chart describes the various bets you can make, along with their
payouts. In addition, the letters beside each bet type can be found on the
diagram below, giving an example of how to make that type of bet. (In the case
of bets on Big, Small, and the House, the diagram indicates the only place that
bets may be made.)
