Live French Roulette Rules

In French Roulette you can place several standard and announce bets, described below.

Limits.

Minimum and maximum position limits are applied to all tables, meaning that all your bets on available positions must be within the limits indicated under the Payout tab in the top left hand side of the game window.

The Min and Max sign on the table indicate the limits for a Straight up bet. Some tables also have a minimum and maximum table limit, meaning that the sum of your bets must be within the limits. These limits are also shown on the limits panel.

The following betting bets can be placed:

Standard Bets

Each standard bet covers a different set of numbers and has a different distribution. Payouts for all the bets are listed in the Winnings section below.

Plein (Straight Up)

A single number bet. The chips are placed entirely in the middle of a number square (including 0) on the Roulette table. The maximum bet amount for this wager is indicated under the Info tab in the top left hand corner of the game window.

Cheval (Split Bet)

A bet on two neighboring numbers, either on the vertical or the horizontal direction. The chips are placed on the line that divides the two numbers. The maximum bet amount for this wager is 2 x the Plein Max bet.

Transversale Pleine (Street Bet)

A bet on three numbers on a single vertical line (a street). The chips are placed on the upper edge of the board, at the end of the corresponding street. A bet on three numbers 0, 1 and 2 or 0, 2 and 3 is aspecial street bet. The chips are placed on the T-section where the three numbers meet. The maximum bet amount for this wager is 3 x the Plein Max bet.

Carr� (Corner Bet)

A bet on four numbers. The chips are placed at the cross where the four numbers meet. The maximum bet amount for this wager is 4 x the Plein Max bet.

Transversale de Quatre (Four Bet)

A bet on the numbers 0, 1, 2, and 3. The chips are placed on the upper edge of the board, at the end of the line between 0 and the first row. The maximum bet amount for this wager is 4 x the Plein Max bet.

Transversale Simple (Line Bet)

A bet on six numbers (two neighboring streets). The chips are placed on the upper edge of the Roulette table, at the cross where the two streets meet. The maximum bet amount for this wager is 6 x the Plein Max bet.

Colonne (Column Bet)

A bet on all the twelve numbers on any of the three horizontal lines. The chips are placed to the right side of the Roulette table, in one of the three unlabelled boxes. If one of the numbers in the selected column is hit, the payout is 2:1. 0 is a losing number. This bet option has minimum and maximum limits that are not derived from the Straight Up bet and can be found under the Payout tab in the top left hand side of the game window.

Douzaine (Dozen Bet)

A bet on the first (1-12), second (13-24), or third group (25-36) of twelve numbers. The chips are placed in one of the three boxes marked "P12," "M12," or "D12." If one of the selected 12 numbers is hit, the payout is 2:1. 0 is a losing number. This bet option has minimum and maximum limits that are not derived from the Straight Up bet and can be found under thePayout tab in the top left hand side of the game window.

Rouge/Noir (Red/Black Bet)

A bet on the outcome of a particular color, either red or black. The chips are placed on the red or black diamond on the Roulette table. If the selected color is hit, the payout is 1:1. If the outcome is 0, you get half your bet back. This bet option has minimum and maximum limits that are not derived from the Straight Up bet and can be found under the Payout tab in the top left hand side of the game window. Pair/Impair (Even/Odd Bet)

A bet on the outcome of either an even or an odd number. The chips are placed on "PAIR (Even)" or "IMPAIR (Odd)" on the Roulette table. If the selected outcome is hit, the payout is 1:1. If the outcome is 0, you get half your bet back. This bet option has minimum and maximum limits that are not derived from the Straight Up bet and can be found under the Payouttab in the top left hand side of the game window.(For further information, please see the La Partage Rule.)

Manque (1-18)/Passe (19-36) (Low/High Bet)

A bet on whether the outcome of the next spin will be low (numbers 1 to 18) or high (numbers 19 to 36). The chips are placed on "MANQUE (1-18)" or "PASSE (19-36)". If the selected outcome is hit, the payout is 1:1. If the outcome is 0, you get half your bet back. This bet option has minimum and maximum limits that are not derived from the Straight Up bet and can be found under the Payout tab in the top left hand side of the game window. Winnings for Neighbor Bets

The winning number always pays 35 to 1. The return, however, depends on the number of chips involved in the bet. If, for example, the bet is placed on five consecutive numbers 11-30-8-23-10, it involves five chips. If one of the numbers is hit, the return is 35 + 1 - 5 = 31 chips.

Winnings for Announce Bets

For example, in the case of Finales a Cheval 9/10, four chips are placed to cover 9, 10, 19/20 and 29/30, If 9 or 10 is hit, the return is 35 + 1 - 4 = 32 chips. If 19, 20, 29 or 30 is hit, the return is 17 + 1 - 4 = 14 chips.
2 number 17 to 1  
3 number 11 to 1  
4 number 8 to 1  

Note: A bet can be placed that involves two, three, or even four numbers. For example, using the zero, bets can be placed on: 1+0, 1+2+0, 2+0, 3+0, or 1+2+3+0.

La Partage Rule

The game uses the La Partage rule. According this rule, you lose only half of your even-money bets when the spinning result is zero.
