Oil barrels and Playtech casinos
Believe it or not there is a real connection between oil barrels and Playtech casinos.
A few days ago the Globes news service reported that Israel’s Petroleum Supervisor had a awarded 4 licenses to drill an oil field off the coast of Israel known as the Benjamin license area. Among the successful license winners was Lapidoth Israel Oil Prospectors Corporation Ltd.
The majority shareholder of Lipidoth is a company called Luxembough, and Luxemmbough is owned by none other than Teddy Sagi. You may not be familiar with the name Teddy Sagi, but given you’re on this site there’s a chance you’ve played at a casino powered by software he helped develop. You see Sagi is one of the founders of Playtech and still owns a good chunk of the software giant, despite selling a piece of it to William Hill Plc a couple of years back.
Having conquered the online casino business it looks like he now has his sights set on becoming an oil baron.
Teddy if things don’t work out at Benjamin, there’s a small British oil company called BP that is getting cheaper by the day.
