Patricia – Our live dealer of the week

Thought I’d have a lash at Fairway‘s ‘Ruleta en Español’ this morning just for something a little different.

It’s the same as their standard live roulette game (same wheel, studio, dealers, rules etc) only the dealers chat to you in Spanish rather than English.

Patricia greeted me with a bright and bubbly ‘Ola Friday!’ when I joined the table, and I responded in kind with one of the three Spanish phrases I know…Ola.

During next half hour or so Patricia, perhaps thinking I was fluent in Español after being so quick on the trigger with my ola, persisted admirably in trying to get a conversion going.  I desperately wanted to throw in one of other two phrases I know, ‘una cerveza por favor’ or ‘dónde están mis pantalones’, to at least give her something…but neither seemed appropriate.

Meanwhile, my straight-up bets on zero, 8 and 32 managed to bear considerable fruit…

Three 35:1 payouts in 30 minutes ain’t bad!
