Jilian – Our live dealer of the week

The conventional wisdom on side-bets, especially those involving progressive jackpots, is that they probably have a nasty house edge and are best left alone.

It is Friday however, so when this game of game of live baccarat loaded to reveal a $200,000+ jackpot I figured what the hell. Could make for an interesting weekend if by some miracle I managed to snag $20k ($2 progressive side bet was as much I was willing to donate to Dafa, so I only stood to win 10% of the jackpot).

Jilian didn’t deal me the Player and Banker matching suited Aces & 8’s that I wanted, but knew in my heart of hearts I’d never get.

What she did however do, which I didn’t realize until searching through my game history after being surprised at my balance at one point, was deal Player & Banker natural 8’s on three different occasions earning 20x the progressive bet each time!

Won’t be the king for the weekend, but at least I’ll have a dinner or two on Dafa thanks to Jilian.
