Shortlists for 2017 EGR Operator Awards are in

The 2017 EGR Operator Awards will take place at Grosvenor House on London’s Park Lane on October 26th.

These awards are for the B2C operators in the industry (as opposed to the companies that supply them with products/services) with trophies handed out to winners in a bunch of categories…some more coveted than others.

Shortlists have now been released, and as per usual those named as vying for the headline categories (with the exception of ‘Rising Star‘) are the established industry heavyweights.

On the shortlist for Casino Operator of the Year, are 888casino, GVC Holdings (operators of Bwin, Party Casino), Kindred (Unibet, 32Red), Leo Vegas, Mr Green, PokerStars, Sky and William Hill.

On the shortlist for the big one…Operator of the Year, are bet365, Ladbrokes/CoralLeo Vegas, LottoLand, Mr Green, Pinnacle, Sky and the Stars Group.

The honor for most-shortlisted goes to Sky Betting and Gaming who are in with a shot to win 14 categories total, and 6 of the 8 headline awards. Leo Vegas (10 total and 5 of 8) and Mr Green (9 total and 5 of 8) are also impressively represented.

888 didn’t make cut-off for Socially Responsible Operator this year. Can’t imagine why they were overlooked?

Despite being billed as B2C awards, there is one category where the B2B guys get a look in and that’s Game of the Year. The shortlist here is dominated by RNG slots games and their creators but there is one live dealer game that made it onto the list and that’s Evolution’s DreamCatcher.
