Evolution’s even dozen at EGRB2B

Award season is well and truly under way.

We had the 2021 Global Gaming Awards at the end of last month. A little over a week later, the prestigious EGRB2B awards took place.

Once again, there was little need for representatives of nominated companies to dust off the dinner suits or dresses.

This year’s B2B awards was another largely virtual affair with the bulk of category winners being announced online over 2 days. But in a welcome reminder of awards ceremonies of days gone by, there was also a small in-person component to conclude the awards. This was held outdoors at Regent’s York Lawns in London.

In the category of most interest to us – Live Casino Supplier of the Year there was no upset. Evolution won for the 12th time in a row, remaining the only winner of this award since the category was introduced in 2010.

They may as well call it the Evolution award.

Fred Bjurle accepted the award and had this to say:

“For Evolution Group brands to be voted the top suppliers in so many awards categories is a very great honour. To win Live Casino Supplier of the Year for a 12th year in a row is a remarkable achievement and one that we are all immensely proud of.”

Glad he didn’t mention anything about being surprised by the decision.

Shortlisted in this category along with Evolution were a bunch of familiar names; BetConstruct, BetGames.TV, Ezugi, OneTouch, Playtech, Pragmatic Play, SA Gaming and TVBET.

Wonder if they bothered tuning in to the announcement?

Interesting to see the largely Asian market facing SA Gaming making an appearance on the shortlist. Perhaps we will see more providers from this region throwing their hats in the ring in future (Opus Gaming etc).
