Some excerpts from a (late published) press release from Playtech...
Quote:
...has opened a state-of-the-art live casino studio facility in Bucharest, Romania to cater for a huge demand in licensees in the newly regulated Eastern European country.

Playtech’s new Romania live casino facility employs native dealers

...offers licensees a huge range of new and classic game variants including live blackjack, roulette and casino hold’em. All products are streamed using the latest HD camera equipment and next generation live gaming platform offering available across all desktop and mobile devices

Romania opened its newly regulated, licensed online gaming framework earlier this year with Playtech receiving approval for four licences including software, live studio, platform and hosting services
Playtech Romanian tables are now available to play.

Currently 1 of each table,

- PTR roulette (viewed on iPad) & blackjack (desktop view).
The tables are playable at Gala/Coral & Ladbrokes (close at midnight UK time).
Never been to Bucharest. Looks a lot like the Vegas Strip :D
Playtech should close their studio in Riga and concentrate on this one in Romania. No need to have 2 different providers in such not the biggest (600-700K) city as Riga is. Anyway: almost all the dealers use to run from PT to Evo (i know some opposite examples by the way: from Evo to PT also happens, but much more rarely (about 100:1) ).
So, i hope that my prediction will come true after few years. Latvia = Evolution, Romania = Playtech. Like Depeche Mode used to sing: "It's just a question of time".
By the way, the population of Romania is 10 times bigger than latvian: 19 942 642 vs 1 985 600. So, not any lack of future dealers is possible.
yeah, very much:)Quote:

btw. it's not a static backdrop image (but not so 'fluid' as WHill's Vegas - don't go there if you suffer from motion sickness, tinnitus,... :p).
The Playtech Romania studio tables didn't last a long time (to players from other countries).
Shortly after they opened the dealers reverted to speaking Romanian , then they disappeared from Ladrokes/Coral/Gala.
Now they are back with a new look & available at LD friendly casinos :)
