I was gobsmacked to read that Apple CEO Tim Cook earned $378 Million in 2011. Most of this was stock options, but still....it works out to more than $1 million per day. Apparently his 2012 pay is set to be substantially higher again due to Apples galloping share price.

$1 million a day's a lot. But not a patch on $1million every 30 minutes!

That's how much Australian iron ore queen Gina Rinehart increased her net wealth by during the last year. According to the BRW 200 rich list (Australia) she's now worth $29 billion....adding a staggering $19 billion in the last year (aren't times supposed to be tough?). She's now the richest woman in the world and knocking on the door of the top 10 of Forbes global rich list.

Wish my dad had bought a few thousand hectares in the Pilbara!
