Evolution's march into New Jersey continues.
Not another dual play table & casino deal this time...rather a full blown purpose built dealer studio in Atlantic City.
More details in release.... https://www.livedealer.org/blog/2018...dealer-studio/
Couple of other bits of information not covered in the release...
The studio is up and running now. It was ready to accept bets last night.
Presently, only players from New Jersey will be able to access this games, although access may be broadened in the future, in line with the New Jersey based Dual Play tables that are planned.
The first online casinos enabled (from Evolution Gaming's end...may not necessarily be live at casino site) to begin offering their New Jersey customers access to the new Atlantic City studio are 888 Casino (at their NJ facing website) and HardRockCasino.com.
Like the Hard Rock page for non-NJ residents. A very deliberate yet... in the message.

The latest big brand to sign-up to Evolution's Atlantic City studio tables is Stars Group (Pokerstars etc).
Players at their NJ facing site (PokerStarsCasinoNJ.com) will soon be able to access tables from this studio. Here's a few excerpts from today's release...
Quote:
Evolution Gaming, leading provider of Live Casino solutions, has announced that it has signed an agreement that will see Evolution power The Stars Group’s online Live Casino services for players at PokerStarsCasinoNJ.com in New Jersey, USA.
The Stars Group — a long-standing Evolution customer operating a dedicated Live Casino environment for PokerStars Casino at Evolution’s main central European studios in Riga, Latvia — will use Evolution’s recently opened studio in Atlantic City, New Jersey for its latest New Jersey product launch.
Already operating in New Jersey, The Stars Group operates other online gaming brands in that state, such as PokerStars and BetStars.
James Stern, Director of Business Development & Land-based Sales at Evolution, commented:
“We have worked with The Stars Group since 2015, during which time we have worked together in a number of regulated markets in Europe....The immediate popularity of our Live Casino tables at our Atlantic City studio has exceeded even our high expectations. I am confident that PokerStars Casino New Jersey’s customers will be drawn to Live Casino, and enjoy the thrill of playing at our wide range of Live Roulette, Blackjack and Baccarat tables.”

Notwithstanding news of the US Department of Justice reinterpretation of the 1961 Wire Act and a 90-day moratorium before implementation, Evolution Gaming is looking forward in 2019.
They've just announced an agreement to provide live dealer games to DraftKings from the US live studio in Atlantic City.
A taste of the Atlantic City studio and game interface looking very much like we've become accustomed to from Evolution (albeit more sparse casino lobby) ....

Yeah the timing makes an otherwise pretty routine announcement quite interesting.Quote:
Notwithstanding news of the US Department of Justice...
Not sure whether it means Evo and DrafKings are confident the new interpretation won’t be enforced, or whether there’s a feeling that inevitable challenges to any enforcement (from say the big interstate lotteries) will see the DoJ will be tied up courts for years trying to get judicial validity for their new interpretation?
Maybe all the legwork had already been done on this deal and they figured may as well proceed? It is arguably intra-state anyway...or can restricted to that if need be.
Next few months will be interesting for sure.

By way of a brief update, regarding PokerStars - live casino games are accessible to New Jersey players;

Further to which, PokerStars has become the first online poker brand to go live in the state of Pennsylvania in partnership with Fox Bet.
PokerStars Casino is also now available in Pennsylvania (offering a range of games, but not yet live casino games - though they are promised).
....the casino site was set to begin the first of two days of Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board-supervised testing on Monday, prior to approval for full launch on Wednesday.
Confirmation yet again of Evolution's ambition to grow in N.America (where aren't they expanding?:p).
They've received state approval to expand the New Jersey live studio.
From 2,223 sq ft currently, up to 5,386 sq ft (ie. an increase of approx 294m2)
With the intention to accommodate 26 extra tables.
Specifically 24 blackjack tables, a money big wheel & a Side Bet City table.

Can understand the need for expansion. After a slow start, online casino gambling in New Jersey is definitely taking off. Probably not a co-incidence that this take off has gathered pace since live games started being offered to NJ online players.Quote:

As to the extent of the take off....Golden Nugget recently reported their October gaming results. For the first time, online casino games (US$16.6 million) topped revenue from their land based casino games (US$14.7 million).
Pretty soon live dealer will be the main vertical, land based the niche :D
The online figure represents a massive 71% rise on October 2018's result. Land based was also up on last year's figure (9.6%) so online doesn't seem to be cannibalising the land based stuff.
