Bit of Australian golf history this morning...Adam Scott becomes first Aussie to win US Masters!
Did it in style too...monster birdie on 18th to get into playoff. Birdie on 2nd playoff hole to take the win.
Well done Adam!

Angel Cabrera ran him close and was gracious in defeat. ... any thoughts on sudden-death playoff ?
The concept in general or how this particular one unfolded?Quote:

I didn't watch this one on TV but was getting the live web updates...not sure which is more nerve racking!
It's brutal way to decide a 4 day tournament (for the loser that is). But that's why we love sports I guess
I meant the concept in general .... it is brutal yes.
Like you say, it probably is why we love sports ... with their roots in gladiatorial contest.
I prefer 4+ holes with sudden-death after.
Yeah, feels to me like going straight to the penalty shootout without any extra time. Luck starts to play a bigger part in the outcome.
Golf was my Father's big passion, if he wasn't playing it, he would be watching it :)Quote:

I mostly watch just the Ryder Cup and Masters now.
I always remember Greg Norman and how close he came to winning the US Masters ... sad he never won it.
