Getting good penetration

Talking about blackjack of course and how far into a shoe the deal goes.

The deeper into the shoe, the more chance card counters have to exploit a positive running count.

Best case scenario is of course a game where the shoe is completely dealt until the last card.

Not surprisingly, you have a hard time finding a live casino that does this. The typical policy, and that employed by the major platforms is re-shuffle mid shoe.

In the interests of identifying live blackjack tables offering players better penetration than this, thought it worth starting this thread (thanks to member bvlgari for the bringing this issue up via PM)

SO...if you come across a table where MORE THAN HALF of the shoe is dealt (the deeper the better), let us know here!

by the way, best I ever came across was the old GGL tables at 5Dimes...

Another factor being burnt cards.

Considering the number of cards Playtech burns, less cards in theory are shown/dealt to players. Compared with somewhere like Evolution who don't burn cards.

and this also increases the frequency of shoe changes/shuffles at Playtech and waiting for a shuffler to arrive.

Good point. So we're on the hunt for:

1. good shoe penetration;
2. preferably no card burning
