Michigan iGaming is a go

The latest US state to legalize online casino and sportsbetting is Michigan.

The Michigan Lawful Internet Gambling Act and companion sportsbetting bill passed through both the House and Senate a couple weeks ago.

Today it was signed into law by Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Like all other US state igaming laws, it will allow for intrastate play only. Only already licensed (bricks and mortar) casinos will be able to offer games online. So chances are we'll see some in-casino type live dealer games pop up during 2020. Perhaps studio games operated within casino premises later on.
