I've played Rock, Paper, Scissors many times. Not this version from Betgames.tv. The original...using hands and a count of three.
Betgames have taken a classic kids game and turned into a way to win (or more likely lose) money.
You can play it now at Leo Vegas.
The central premise of the game is consistent with the original:
- Rock beats Scissors
- Scissors beats Paper
- Paper beats Rock
----------------------------------------
To be in the game, place a bet on Rock, Paper or Scissors. You can take this bet on the silver side, or gold side of the table.
Once betting time has closed, the dealer will deal from a fresh shuffled pack or 24 cards (8 Rocks, 8 Paper, 8 Scissors) a single card to the silver side and a single card to the gold side.
Applying the time honoured Rock beats Scissors beats Paper beats Rock principle, your bet on either side will win, lose or push against the dealer card.
Here's a silver side Scissors win over dealer's Paper card...
Here's a gold side Rock - Rock push...
Here's a losing bet on the gold side...
----------------------------------------
A loss either side sees you bet amount forfeit.
Payouts for a push or win differ either side.
On the silver side a push sees your whole bet returned. On the gold side, only 35% of your bet is returned.
But a win on the gold side returns 2.5:1 against a silver side win of 1.85:1.
You can think of betting on the gold side as higher risk, higher reward.
Regardless which side you bet, (or what you bet on either side), the payouts point to a RTP of 95% .... or a hefty 5% house edge.
