    What to expect in 2012?

2011's been a big year in live gaming.
Studios keep getting bigger and better looking with more tables.
Interface and video delivery improvements continued.
We saw live games added to the Android market, as well as built for play on iPads.
Dealers speaking Spanish, Italian, German were introduced to cater for local markets.
Dealers also continued getting hotter and hotter

    What's coming next year...any predictions?

I recon we could see the small inset videos become a thing of the past. Maybe a switch from Flash to HTML5 for the bigger platforms so that their games are playable on iPad.
Maybe Dealers will stop asking players where we're from and how the weather is there?
I'll continue to spend more time playing (rather than working) than I should.

Ok, I will. But that's a pretty common chat starter all around the world. Any ideas, what should be the first question to totally strangers? How to brake the ice? I am opened for ideas in 2012!

I'll continue to spend more time playing (rather than working) than I should.
I hope this is more like an prediction about the Players in general. More Players, more money, more funny moments at the tables. As I use to say, I'm more or less enjoying my job, but in moments when somebody makes me giggle, laugh etc. - I love my job.

    Hi Dealer,

    Happy new year!
You're right...it's a good chat starter and most players probably don't even notice it. But when you play a lot (some days I'll visit 20+ tables across a few casinos) you find yourself giving lots of weather reports!

As for different ice breakers/chat starters...let's run a competition to get some good suggestions

Submit your suggestion here...best one wins $100

    Hi,

Very Nice topic and I agree with your predictions, but strongly disagree with last point, as one should not be addicted up to this extent and should keep a reasonable balance among work and entertainment.

Not a bad guess a year ago...if I do so say myself.

Perhaps not a 'switch' as we'll see Flash (for PC) games for a while, but HTML5 live games for iPad are now here (https://www.livedealer.org/blog/2012...o-soon-follow/) . To say that I'm chomping at the bit to give them a go is an understatement.
