Thread: Conspiracy theories ...

    Talking Conspiracy theories ...

I was just wondering if any other players had some good fun conspiracy theories regarding dealers ? ?

Have you ever noticed how all the beautiful female dealers with long hair never stop stroking their hair ?

It mainly occurs at the roulette tables.
There are too many to name all of them, but some good Playtech culprits include .... Natalija, Kristine, Keita

I think when they start to work at the casinos they are told to do it to keep players interested in their appearance, and distracted from their own gambling strategy.

.. well it works on me, but in a slightly different way !

.... it drives me nuts ! ........ less is sometimes more girls

You haven't fallen for the hair-flick have you Unclefester? Oldest trick in the book!

This movement, a combination of nerves and flirtation, helps call attention to and frame your feminine assets (think face and neck). No wonder it's a staple of a promising date...CNN
Sucks me in also ...along with those big smiles and flirtatious glances. We're pretty simple creatures us blokes...a bit of interest from a beautiful girl (whether genuine or not) and we're hooked.

Whether it's a mandatory part of the job, can't speak for Playtech and Evolution Gaming (I suspect it's strongly encouraged), but I was lucky enough to do a tour of the Bodog88 operation and I know they are meticulous on dealer demeanor. Dealers there actually incur smile penalties if they aren't smiling enough! (not sure what the implications of a smile penalty are though)
'coz good old fashioned real random beats simulated random any day

Yeah, I suspected it was encouraged also

I had a similar conversation with a dealer, of course she denied it, like they always do about all my little theories.

but I meant all the hair stroking really annoys me after a while!

You wouldn't get a tour of Playtech I guess, as the dealers are told to deny anything about been in Riga.

First, I guess it is a reflex. The Dealers can see themself all the time in a self-viewer video. Imagine if you had to stay the whole day in front of mirror. Of course, you will start to check yourself out and try to look better and better.

Second, who doesn't like compliments? I do... So, worth to try. Afterwards a good mood at least for couple minutes are guaranted.

Third, of course the company cares if the Players like the Dealers also by the looks, not only the profesionality, chatting skills and stuff like that. So, seeing a compliment in the chat is also a positive feedback in a written way, black on white.

Okay, I'll let 'The Dealer' think they won that hand,

.....otherwise dealers tend to leave the table after 30 mins or so If you never let them win.

But I notice you didn't dismiss my 'Bunny Rabbit' theory!

see, THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE .... you just need to know where to look.

Unclefester - I am a Dealer, so actually I am always winning, as I can not lose anything.

So to dismiss your "Bunny Rabbit" theory... No those Rabbits are getting the usual, nice smelling money - Latvian Lats, and, of course, according to Latvia's labor law - twice more than in regular day. Whoop, whoop!

Can't wait for Līgo and Jāņi (at next weekend). I am loving these national celebrations.

#4 Dealers who pretend to have a memory like an elephant

I've seen a few dealers pull this trick,
but there's one dealer in particular who I spent a few months of my life with,
I observed many times her apparent memory of players who had visited her table weeks or months ago.

    She would say something along the lines of;

    .. "oh hello xxxxx",
    .... "what, you don't remember me ?"
...... "well I remember you, I guess it was like X months ago you came to my table"

To me, it felt like her information screen was telling her when that player had last visited her table.

Especially when in chat she didn't remember something I had told her previously!

That is so not true!!! We don't see that kind of information. They really have this elephant memory. Even if we don't remember the conversation itself, it is enough that we have had fun in that conversation to miss a follow-up afterwards. It just also means that your nickname is special enough to remember it without any effort. Unclefester, everybody remember your nickname! Maybe thats the best nickname choice of the year! If somebody mentions you in the staffroom, almost everybody knows about whom is the conversation going on...
