Thread: bet365 live dealer App

  1. #11
The mobile roulette table is available from bet365's mobile casino site - mobile.bet365.com/casino

Whereas the bet365 App provides the opportunity to play on the 2 main roulette tables at Playtech Euro - Aphrodite & Vesta.

    But not the mobile table.

Can't say I was as impressed with the bet365 App as playing on the mobile roulette table

With my slow broadband often the App wouldn't let me join the tables due to "video streaming timeout" compared with playing normally at the tables on a laptop where the video would just freeze briefly.

The dedicated mobile roulette table always seems to open and looks much better video quality.

Wonder why they don't use the same tables for App and mobile casino site? Guess there's some technical reason.

Just from your pics above, the video looks much clearer on the mobile site version.

Possibly the video feed from the mobile roulette is encoded in a suitable formatcodec enhanced for mobile devices. Whereas the regular tables video are in another format suitable for pc's that the App then has to convert to make playable for mobile devices

Such a conversion may explain the loss of quality for the regular tables.

Another thought that occurs to me about playing on mobile devices .... perhaps the Playtech standard 30 second game rounds are a bit too fast for players, especially on phones. I imagine it could be tricky to place complex bets within time on small screens, without mistakes and time for corrections ?

Could be right Fester. Although the speed I see people texting these days, some mobile players will be faster on the phone than they are on the PC!

Be interested to see how popular these games become on mobile phones. For me...iPad is about as small as I'd want to go. In fact...prefer to go the other way and play on a 50" tv (of course you lose a little portability with this option)

I know what you mean LD about the speed with which people text. Also, with auto correct, .. and small mistakes don't really matter anyway.

Just I'm not sure about placing several split, street or corner bets on such a small screen when sums of money are involved in the 30 seconds.

I'm still having a very poor success rate of getting the App to open the tables. Always getting "video streaming timeout" and told to try again.

Just gone back to the App store to see by any chance if there was already a new version of the App ... not yet !

I did notice some reviews (not many yet as it is so new), other people were saying they were having similar difficulties on strong Wifi , and also about playing on iPhone.
