Thumbs up Live Dealer Studio Games are on their way out!

    Hello:

When one looks at the LIVE DEALER game(s) Demos it is hard to imagine that they are on their way out; but I believe it will happen sooner than later. They're making plenty of money for the operators; but essentially they're all are the same, and therefore boring. Of course I enjoy looking at the pretty girls! My comments are limited to casino card games.

1st Generation Virtual, (RNG), casino card games typically deal each game round from a freshly shuffle game deck. (No card counting here!)

2nd Generation LIVE DEALER casino card games: All are studio games, dealt by a Live Dealer, with no live players.

Blackjack / Deck penetration is reduced to approximately one-half deck; and then the deck is shuffled. (card counters have no advantage)

Baccarat / Again, the deck penetration may be reduced especially if the players are allowed to bet on PAIRS

Poker / Only a few, extremely talented poker professionals, will benefit from playing these games. (The house does not bankroll the games and benefits only from the "rake" taken from
    each pot).

3rd Generation LIVE and ON-DEMAND casino card games: (Video, Audio, Game Play and Gamedata) are captured during real-time from games played in a real bricks-and-mortar casino by real people. The play of the games can be broadcast live, during real-time, to the remote game players; or it can be digitially stored and transferred to one or more "game servers" that can be accessed by remote players using a PC, Mobil Phone and etc. for play on-demand. Each game round stored on the Game Server is NEVER played more than once. (When a RP logs into the game he/she must initiate his/her play with the next game round played. Each game round is timed and played in sequence.

    PLAYER ADVANTAGES:

    1. Games hosted by BIG BRAND land based casinos will give the Players more confidence in the INTEGRITY of the game(s) selected for play; and
    2. Players will enjoy a more realistic, exciting and entertaining online casino experience; and
    3. Blackjack; 75% Deck Penetration (card counters will be identified and barred from play); and

Remote players can only wager on a game hand played by an actual person seated at a game table in a real casino; and

Any actions taken by the "actual person" playing in the casino; or any actions taken by the "remote player" playing the identical game hand may be identical to or
different from the actual person seated at the live game table; or any actions taken by other "remote Players" playing the identcal game hand; and

An unlimited number of "remote players" may simultaneously play at the same game table, and play the same game table seat/hand; whereas the settlement, win/loss,
of each game hand played my more than one player, actual or remote, may be different; and

    4. Baccarat; 98% Deck Penetration and a new and more "interactive" Remote Players User Interface will be available for the remote players; and
    5. Poker; Illicit activities by Dealer and Player will be identified and blocked by the system; and
An unlimited number of remote players, playing at different computer generated game tables, will be dealt a game hand that is identical to the game
    hand dealt to the actual game players engaged in "Tournament Play";

    SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS ADVANTAGES:

    1. Reduced cost of development; and
    2. Elimination of Studio games;and
The play of one live game captured in a real casino can replace 100 or 1000 LIVE DEALER Games; and

The cost of capturing the play of one live game palyed in a real casino will not exceed the host casino's long term WINNINGS from actual people playing at the
live game table when the play of the real game is available for real-time, LIVE or ON DEMAND, play by remote players; and

    3. Game INTEGRITY established by real casino gaming regulators; and
    4. Increased "active online player" database; and
    5. Remote Players play session are more frequent and longer;
    6. Marketing Advantages
Access by online casino to host Land Based Casinos, ("LBC"), player database; and

When the game play is captured from a live game table located on a casino's floor, (not in a closed Studio), the LBC's customers will be exposed to the
fact that the LBC is associated with an Online Casino Operator; and

Backend software will collect desiginated demographics associated with each remote player and etc.

    7. Security Advantages
Identifies all card counters, (or RP's using a computer program), engaged in the play of the game of Blackjack; and it will barr them from play "if" they are skilled enough to
    overcome the "house advantage"; and

Identifies the "1st Card Advantage" of each LIVE player; and each REMOTE player who by phsical or electronic means have prior knowledge of the value of the 1st Card
dealt to the PLAYERS HAND when playing the game of Baccarat; and

    8. etc., etc.

The technology availabe to capture the play of LIVE and ON DEMAND casino card games is commercially available. A couple of Demos on LiveDealer.org are using some of this technology.

Online Casino Operators appear to be content with the status-quo! It would be prudent for them to commence the development of the 3rd Generation LIVE and ON DEMAND casino games. It's best that they competete with their own products, than wait until their competitors license the required technology, leaving the other out in the cold.

    Good luck!

    Hello odhill1.

Welcome to the forum, some interesting thoughts there !

May I ask if you have any specific interest in 3rd Generation Live on Demand games ?

I do feel though that there will always be players who "enjoy looking at the pretty girls!" and talking to them.

So I think that 2nd Generation games are here to stay for a while. Of course the market will peak then players numbers will drop. Already we see casinos tarketing niche markets eg. language tables, sports roulette at Evolution where the dealers have an interest in talking all things sports related, a topless casino in Russia, etc.

    Hi odhill1,

We're talking niches within niches here!

I must admit when I think 'live dealer' I think about what you call '2nd Generation LIVE DEALER' and '3rd Generation LIVE and ON-DEMAND casino card games'

The purpose built studio V bricks and mortar casino distinction is a valid one, but in both cases we're still talking about a human dealing real cards (spinning a real ball on a real wheel etc) and having this live video streamed to players computers with a linked bet interface.

I think both have their advantages and disadvantages and will appeal to different players based on preferences. For example I enjoy the novelty of playing the Fitzwilliam and/or Palace casino tables at Dublinbet and seeing other players inside the casinos lay bets on the same table. But if I want to interact with a dealer or play a more 'ambient' game environment, I'll play the studio games.

I think in future we'll see casinos/developers trying to cover both of these preferences...Evolution Gaming do offer to broadcast games from the actual gaming floor of your land-based venues. Playtech are soon to live steam games from Casino Gran Madrid.

Another factor that will influence the popularity of either niche is how well they can be packaged for tablet play which will undoubtedly see demand growth. Here I suspect the studio games will have an advantage.

You wish... I guess that was just a joke. Any kind land-based Casinos are closed and forbidden in Russia since June, 2011...

Well there is a site live now where dealers speak Russian, and the interface is in Russian - although you can choose English as language.

I just assumed it was from within Russia - perhaps not then.

If players are really interested ? - I can post the name of the site which allows some free play without even registering, but I personally choose not to deposit money.

Just a little further reading for anybody interested regarding the 07-01-09 ban in Russia - see Guardian article.

Maybe the casino is based in a neighbouring state, or something ... ?
