    Bitcoin casinos etc

Came across a casino the other day calling themselves Satoshi Live Casino, claiming to be the first Bitcoin live casino.

Thought it worth having a bit of a look at the whole Bitcoin thing...

Personally, I'd be VERY wary of any online casino accepting Bitcoins as its ONLY deposit method.

By the way...if you're wondering why Satoshi ... this was the name the developer who created Bitcoin game him/her/them selves.

Clearly there are plenty of gamblers out there who don't share this view. A story creating a bit of buzz at the moment is the amount of action at a Bitcoin only dice gambling site called Just Dice (interesting concept in that you can gamble, or take the position of the house by 'investing' in house positions).

Over 1,300,389 BTC ($160 million) has been wagered at the site since June 2013.

The exploits of 2 players in particular have attracted a lot of interest:

    1. a player going the name of nakowa who has put a very big dent in the site's bankroll in recent weeks. He's up over 10K BTC, which is well over $1 million.
    2. another player named mechs (then changed name to fvckit) who went from a balance of 1,700 BTC to just over 7,000 BTC, then let it all ride on a single bet of 7016 BTC (ie around $900,000) which he lost

Discussed in detail here at Reddit , including the very candid comments made by mechs after dropping his $900K...

    00:22:20 oh well

If you’re looking for a safe bitcoin casino, I highly suggest you visit BetCoin.tm. All of their games are pure html5. No need to download the hassle java or run flash. They have the highest payout in terms of bitcoin casino.

    Hi Stewart, welcome.

So do they have any live dealer games also?

    Hi Stewart

the highest payout in terms of bitcoin casino.
wouldn't this depend on what games you play and how you play them?

I'm still too much of a chicken to buy Bitcoins for fear of a price crash. Mind you, I felt that way a few months ago when they were around $70!

    OK here's a development...an online casino:

    • that IS licensed/regulated (Malta)
    • that HAS live dealers (Evolution Gaming, HoGaming, Bodog)
    • now accepts Bitcoin deposits...

Casino is Vera&John. They made the announcement today

I believe it applies to all of Coin games (roulettes, poker, slots, card games, etc.). Right, it's a total risk when you invest in bitcoin maybe because of its volatility. It's really up to you if it's worth risking for. Good luck!

I believe sooner or later, more online casino will trust bitcoin as their payment system. When my friend started to play, there were only few sites which support crypto currency.

I think it's more a case of gaining player trust rather than casino trust in Bitcoin.

For casinos (or any online merchant for that matter) its a great payment method...no charge backs, no repudiations, once payment is made that's it. For the same reasons it will take a little longer for players/customers to accept it. Plus the whole value volatility thing ($540 today, over $1,000 last month).

If you can deposit with credit card, why wouldn't you?
