    Win a share of £5,000 to £20,500 - ends 31 Aug

Play at Betfair's dedicated VIP blackjack table and if you receive exactly the same suited blackjack as the dealer, you’ll win the Bad Beat Jackpot.

The Bad Beat Jackpot started at £10,000 (currency equivalent) and increases £500 every day it isn't won in August.

    How to win the Jackpot:

Play on the Betfair VIP Blackjack table (mustard yellow colour).

You need to be playing your own box/boxes - not playing behind a player (but also see below).

The dealers hand must be a suited blackjack (eg. Ace & Ten of Diamonds)
You must have to have exactly the same blackjack (Ace & Ten of Diamonds)

How much of the Jackpot do you win?

75% of the Jackpot is won by the player matching the dealers blackjack and 25% is shared.

25% of the Jackpot total is split evenly among all other players that have played on the Betfair VIP table within the same day that the Jackpot was won (between 00:00 & 23:59) and had at least 6 hands/bets.

Playing as a player behind on the box that hits the Jackpot

The player (box owner) is the Jackpot winner – as a player behind you receive a £1,000 (currency equivalent) bonus .

What happens if/when the Jackpot is won?

The Jackpot then resets and starts at £5000 (currency equivalent) and increases by £500 per day.

If the Jackpot is not won in August

The jackpot total will stand at £20,500 on the last day of August (if not won). The Jackpot will then be split proportionately amongst players that have played on the table during the promotion period.

The proportional split will be based upon total bets (wagers), AND goes to all players that have wagered in excess of £5,000 (currency equivalent).

NB. - HOW TO CLAIM THE JACKPOT

The dealer is supposed to realise that the Jackpot has been hit, ... however if the dealer doesn't ... USE THE CHAT FACILITY to alert the dealer to a claim. The dealer then calls the Pit Boss to the table to confirm the hand and re-set the Jackpot total.

    Also

There is only one Bad Beat jackpot to won every day

Winnings have a 5* minimum wagering requirements within 30 days (or else they expire).

Perhaps it's only open to players who have already met certain turnover requirements?

Or maybe because I'm still going through the Know Your Customer check??

turns out it wasn't just me...table was unavailable to all for some reason. I was assured by support that it would be up and running very soon

I was assured by support that it would be up and running very soon
... I have heard that many times, usually it's the first excuse of many contacts with support.

Betfair's clickable lobby said the same for me (as in your pic LD).

But the 'old fashioned way' of selecting tables did allow access to the table, and was also possible via iPad.

Accessing dedicated tables at Playtech can be frustrating, some days you go and have lost access to tables, then you go another day (or months) later and the tables are back.

I lost confidence in Betfair support a long time ago (hopefully they are better now?) ...

When they first opened a dedicated blackjack table at the studio I couldn't access the table.

I contacted support several times, ... once they told me I could always play at their exclusive roulette table, by which they meant the Artemis VIP roulette ... which is available to all casinos!. I told the support person that it wasn't a dedicated table. To which he told me it was their own EXCLUSIVE roulette table.

I just feel the various casinos support staff have very little knowledge about the live tables they take from Playtech.

Btw. the VIP table is not open 24 hours a day ... maybe that was simply your problem LD.

ie. was the clickable lobby a live image or just a still image? ... when tables are closed the image is usually a still image (to give a better impression presumably).

Support staff don't know the times tables are open, and they just try to access a table when you contact them to confirm if the table is available (in theory) to customers.

But the table will be going to open 24 hours a day later in the month ... I did know when but have forgot it ... will find out and post ASAP.

Betfair VIP table is currently open daily 11am until 3am (GMT).

Then from 18th August goes to open 24 hours a day.
