Why so many male dealers?

I raised this question vaguely several months ago here, but have been encouraged to ask it again...


Why are there so many male dealers now at Evolution Gaming and Playtech?

The number of male dealers on the Unibet dedicated tables at Evolution is remarkable ... possibly that comes from Unibet's request?


To a lesser degree it's the same situation with the Bwin dedicated tables.

My information suggested someone influenced the decision to hire more male dealers in both Latvian studios.

• As most players are male, and no doubt most prefer female dealers it's not a player led decision.

Thinking is that, possibly male dealers are more reliable and likely to stay in the job longer, but it doesn't account for the apparent policy change at both studios ... other than dealer shortage.

Both studios have struggled at times to recruit and retain dealers. Evolution even dropped the English standard test for new dealers.

So .... anyone else have any thoughts or answers?


I know for a fact several dealers and studio hierarchy regularly/ daily read these pages (inc. bet365 headquarter's personage) ... maybe they would like to share their thinking and reasoning

Perhaps Latvian male dealers have been out demonstrating and burning their underpants fighting for equality on the live dealer tables and the politicians have listened

Possibly some truth in everything you said LD ... except for the burning underpants bit

Playtech also now have several male shufflers which is something you never saw before.

& William Hill has a dedicated male shuffler at Evolution etc.
