What does Exclusive mean?

I received an email from Paddy Power the other day which claimed this promotion was ...

exclusive invite-only £/€15,000 cash leaderboard

So I ignored it & didn't bother to post the promotion.

But when you visit Paddy's site the promotion is advertised before you even login.

So not exclusive invite-only ... 'par for the course' Playtech casino spin again!



While on the subject of Paddy promotions I'm not a fan of the dealers being required to 'sell' promotions to players at least once every 30 minutes at the dedicated tables.

'exclusive' has to be the most liberally used word in the online casino industry

Usually means exclusive to anyone who wants to give it a go, and excluding only those not interested

Well yes the way every Playtech casino describes the Artemis (VIP) roulette table as an 'exclusive' table has always amused me

I once had a telephone conversation with Betfair customer support when they tried to tell me EXCLUSIVE meant the Artemis table was their own table when i was enquiring about private tables.


But it was the use of the words 'invite-only' in the promotion email especially.
