Thread: Speed Roulette table

Playtech's newest roulette table is now open - Speed Roulette

Speed in name, and speed required in placing bets ... time between spins is reduced at the table compared with other Playtech tables. You only get 10 seconds to place your bets at this table.

Visually there's nothing different to see at the table, apart from the drabness of the all grey walls (same as first betfair area that was disliked and quickly replaced).

The lobby representation of table looks promising with flames licking around the wheel ...

It seems Playtech finally found a use for the cheerless styling

Although maybe that would be too much excitement what with only having a few seconds to place bets

Who says Playtech always has its head stuck in the sand?

Speed Roulette looking more speedy with a makeover since my last visit....

At Playtech's Speed Roulette it took 5 minutes 11 seconds to make 10 spins in a row, and at Evolution's one (opened today?) it took only 4:30...

So, now this new Speed Roulette by Evolution will share the 1st place with Hi-Lo in "The Fastest Online Live Game" competition (Hi-Lo also takes around 4:30 for 10 game rounds).

    P.S. The table is not available from "everywhere": William Hill, Unibet, Sportingbet - YES;
    Marathonbet, Royal Panda - NO.

Dealers (both boys and girls) come from the VIP-zone (blackjacks).

Evolution's version of speed roulette is not to my liking....too fast combined with camera angle switching.

Hey Evolution, just a thought.....you could make the game even quicker with the different ball type used on Playtech's Asia roulette that lands faster .

Oh well, that's another of the newer roulettes I don't want to play for any length of time:

Evo's Immersive - too gimmicky & unnatural feeling,

Playtech's Prestige table - too much studio pressure on the dealers to keep talking about anything even if the players aren't responding.

Curiously, Evolution just yesterday put out a press release announcing the launch of Speed Roulette...few weeks after it was available for play.

Anyway, couple of excerpts from the release...

Speed Roulette — available on desktop, tablet and smartphone portrait and landscape — is a super-fast version of Evolution’s leading live dealer Roulette. In this Speed version, game rounds take around 25 seconds from spin to spin
Speed Roulette game is delivered with a custom designed wheel by TCSJOHNHUXLEY located in its own dedicated studio at Evolution’s Riga studios
Betting takes place only during the spin, so there’s no ‘dead time’.
The speed enhancements mean players can enjoy around 50 extra game rounds per hour compared with playing Evolution Live Roulette and Immersive Roulette
