    Robot Dealers

What do we think about Robot dealers as the future of live dealer in Europe? Will it catch on? Do we want robots dealing our cards? Apparently the next big thing from Asia.!

Apologies for the quality of the image.

    Hi Neil,

Horses for courses, but a robot certainly wouldn't attract me to the table...online or inside a casino.

Find it hard to see the attraction really...other than no mistakes and high speed?

Apparently the next big thing from Asia.!
If it's going to take off anywhere...
Interaction with the dealer doesn't seem to be a priority at Asian facing live casinos...or inside casinos in Macau etc

Have you played with Robot dealers? If so how did you find the experience?
'coz good old fashioned real random beats simulated random any day

Me neither .... I've spoke to players who say some studio dealers are already too robotic.

I remember reading a few months ago about an illegal casino in Asia getting raided. It was using a robot dealer to save on wages.

    ps. welcome Bod

I haven't played with Robot dealers, although I've come across a few Live Dealers that behave like robots!

I was talking to someone that was working with a lot of operators in Asia and he could see that this was already taking off. It's a trust thing. The less handling of the cards by a human is thought to be more trust worthy.

Personally I prefer a real dealer with real cards. I don't like any form of automation in card games, save perhaps an offline shuffling machine. I can't bear the ShuffleMasters for instance but can see the attraction for the casinos and players that like a faster game.

I do think Robots may make an appearance but only if European targeted casinos take feeds from Asian Studios. European and Asian cultures and values are different so I wouldn't hold your breath.

Ps. Thanks for the welcome Unclefester
