Can't imagine what can make me play there
I'm hearing you Legend. And I suspect most players would be of the same opinion.

However, gamblers (high rollers in particular) can be an idiosyncratic lot and who knows what appeals to each individual.

As an example, there are players who are of the belief that their results will be negatively effected by others at the table not playing sound basic strategy. Some prefer to have the entire table to themselves.

I'm sure there will also be players who get annoyed or frustrated at the time other players take to make decisions, and want the rhythm of a one-to-one deal.

These types of individuals might like the idea of the Diamond VIP table, and Evolution and it's operators will be happy to run a table that is mostly empty just for these players
'coz good old fashioned real random beats simulated random any day

Evolution has a lot of players who can be quite aggressive to any players not following basic strategy. They don't seem to comprehend basic strategy only applies to their hand.

On a wider note, one of the main problems with private tables is every player seeing each other's chat. It leads to player abuse from fellow players. It used to be just a Evolution phenomenon (as they had so many private tables), then increased at Playtech with the arrival of several dedicated areas.

At Evolution there's an option setting to hide other players chat. Why not also have the general option to hide your chat from other players? At least then you could hold a conversation with the dealer without other players lurking in the background.

See a lot of this in bricks and mortar casinos. Players getting visibly annoyed and sometimes abusive toward others based on their playing decisions (throw alcohol into this mix - never helps with logic ).
As misguided as it is...if they are big players the casinos will want to pander to their beliefs.

Just went to check out (not play) this table...not available when I logged in at 888, Unibet, WH or Betvictor.
    Is it:
    • available at certain times only, or
    • only visible/available to players with a balance > £€1k
in which case my $110 (888), $350 (Unibet), $350 (WH), $750 (Betvictor) doesn't get me a look in

The only thing i know for sure: if i decide to play BJ in high-roller style, i'd better visit NetEnt (available from Unibet, Sportingbet and etc) where limits are $10-50 000, or common draw table (unlimited, 1 hand to all players, much better and faster than similar unlimited BJ from Playtech) at the same place with $1- 10 000 range. That's why i called that table absolutelly useless or totally useless because what for do i need 1000-10000 when i can play 1-10000 at the same time.

Different casinos have different settings. Some hide chat from other players, some hide other players chat. Unibet hides chat from other players everywhere, but holdem and 3-card poker, where also "hide other players chat". Bwin hides chat from other players everywhere but holdem (doesn't have 3-card poker table). WH hides other players chat only. Some other casinos have it option (hide other players chat) as default which can't be changed at all.

P.s. And Diamond Blackjack table is not working right now. It's weekend, afternoon, almost prime-time but table isn't working...

Of course they pander to big players in several ways ... leaderboard race promotions etc.

But I always think, imagine that player not following basic strategy is a new player, their first steps into the delights of online casino, and they are subjected to all the abuse. Often the player leaves after a couple of hands. Certainly not the best welcome for new players, if they choose to come back.

Player 78345 was placing 2000 on 3 seats everytime, plus all the side bets at 100.

Guess it comes down to personal preference in the end.
High rollers who don't like a Shufflemaster deal would avoid the Netentertainment tables.
The common draw (Netent) and unlimited (Ptech) tables aren't everyone's cup of tea either...different Spit rules, unconventional deal etc

You going by the nick Player 78345 these days Fester?

Player 78345 would have turned over more $ per hour than the 70 players on the Blackjack Party table. I reckon Diamond Blackjack is here to stay

Ok. Tastes differ. Have anything to say about "not very random" results made by Shufflemaster ? I'll be more than happy to read...

P.S. This table is physically located close to Platinum VIP BJ (grey color) and at the same time not far from Blackjack C (green) and green roulette. Dealer's voices from blackjacks can be heard and that moment when the ball hits winning number.

Many blackjack players prefer to observe the shoe progression, hence LD's previous thread here, as opposed to a machine (or RNG) deal.
