    Couple of changes at Playtech

PLaytech have made a couple more changes to their live casino.

"US Style" is now in place on the 7 seat Blackjack tables. As far as I can see this change removes the burn cards from the beginning of each deck and the card that is burnt before each hand, bringing their game more inline with Evolution, but not quite, they still play out all hands even if the dealer is showing an Ace (no peek).

Also, and this is a bit bigger news. Bet365 have gone live with Live Hi Lo, a new live casino game.

I'm now popping off to give it a try!

Actually, the US Style does not appear to be universal. A quick skip around a Playtech Casino with dedicated tables indicates that they haven't implemented the no burn card rule when a new deck is introduced. It's still very much in operation at Sky.

All the card burning at Playtech was superfluous to requirements (& a fire hazard ).

Abolishing it reduces the frequency of shoe changes, and it puts more bonus cards in play as they become a more regular fixture.

Here's a link to post of the new Hi-Lo game.

Noticed changes... Few minutes before their change dealers send shortcut: "Dealer change is in progress. Please wait". Is this phrase written correctly, by the way ? Maybe it shoud be written "is being in progress" (Present Continuous) and also "dealer's change".

Also don't know from which time exactly, but seems to me that dealers now should wave to all new players. Not all of them always do that, but 80% for sure. Even male dealers.

Playtech's dealer change message has been in use for sometime now and is correct English.

Dealers are now allowed to answer: "We are located in Riga, Latvia". As for me, it's the best moment to mention this internet meme with Nicolas Cage:

Russian version is even better ("You don't say. You've opened my eyes") :

The changes keep coming ... game procedures, allowed dealer chat and dealer appearance.

Having relaxed the rules to allow glasses at the backend of 2013. They've gone a step further now in allowing visible tattoos. Previously dealers could only get away with tattoos hidden away on their backs etc.

Another change at Playtech as they continue to evolve into another platform...

The Casino Hold'em table now has a shuffling machine as opposed to previously using a shuffler seated alongside the dealer.

But, as soon as I asked a question if it was a Shuffle King II it was back to the old Playtech of so many rules...the dealer got all nervous and said she wasn't allowed to tell me.

The shuffling machine on Playtech's Hold'em table didn't last long before it was removed in March.

But Playtech have decided to try again with a shuffling machine this time on a blackjack table

(Of course they would have a machine doing nothing after the closure of Coral's private Hi-Lo table.)
