    Future of computing...no computers

    Well no 'device' anyway.

In Google's annual shareholder letter new current CEO Sundar Pichai talks about the evolution of computers from clunky desktops to mobile devices and envisions a future in which computers start to lose physical form...

Looking to the future, the next big step will be for the very concept of the “device” to fade away. Over time, the computer itself—whatever its form factor—will be an intelligent assistant helping you through your day
Hard to wrap the head around this. But then if someone had said 15 years ago we could pull a wallet size device out of our pocket, ask it a question, and have it give an useful, informative answer probably would have been equally skeptical.

    ps
was referring to Siri, not a live dealer who you have ask (playing on your mobile) something like 'do you guys draw a card on all 17s'

But this would have been equally unfathomable

By the way... I can't recall any international hit singles about computers. And on Russian language there is one. "Computer" by Soviet Synthpop-band "Forum,The". In Soviet Union the most popular songs were called with german word "Schlager" instead of "Hit". So, that schlager was released in 1986. Only 20 000 views on Youtube, but it's documentary confirmed fact: during the period of 80s-90s The Forum used to play mostly on sold out stadiums and concert halls. Not only that song has made them so popular, but anyway. Especially I like the sample from 0:47.

P.S. I've just noticed:The Forum's vinyls were printed (vinyls are printed, or another verb should be used?) on Rīgas Skaņuplašu Fabrika, The Record plant of Riga, cause Latvia was a part of The USSR. Now it would be interesting to find out its adress to compare: maybe it's located not so far away from ELT for example .
