    Betsson to buy Supercasino

    This is interesting.

Betsson Group, owner of Betsson, Betway, CasinoEuro, Nordicbet, Triobet etc etc, has just penned a deal to buy NetPlay TV, owners of Supercasino.com and Jackpot247 for £26.4m cash.

The deal is expected to be completed by April this year, giving Betsson a bigger presence in the UK market.

Last month the UK High Court of Justice sanctioned Betsson's £26.4m cash offer for NetPlay TV.

After completion of the deal, Betsson plans for NetPlay TV include delisting from the London Stock Exchange’s international market (AIM) and integration of the Playtech powered NetPlay brands.

BTW, as a point of interest NetPlay TV also own Vernons (a well known brand in the UK for its football pools origins).

Since Betsson took over last year I’ve looked for any changes to the brands content including from Playtech.

Major changes apparently now on the horizon with Betsson aiming to move NetPlay to Malta as existing commercial contracts draw to an end. With a new, more digitally-focused strategy planned.

.... sounds as though the in-house roulette days might be numbered & I can’t imagine Betsson will stick with Playtech live dealers for NetPlay brands

Any bets on a new small private area in Evolution’s Malta studio & the familiar British game presenters dropped (/not transferring)

Won't lose sleep over this. Never been a massive fan of the 'for-tv' games.

After approx 9 years on British TV Jackpot247 live roulette was broadcast for the last time on ITV yesterday (30th June).

With sister casino SuperCasino having already come to an end earlier this year on Channel 5.

For now the Playtech live tables remain, but players are being “encouraged” to continue playing live roulette at liveroulette.com .... unsurprisingly it’s Evolution powered .

The Exclusive range of private tables available to Betsson Group casinos being immediately accessible.

As you might expect given the UK player base (of NetPlay TV), the various language tables aren't in the lobby. But still a very big increase in number of tables and game range now available compared with the previous Playtech era.

Thanks Fester, I've updated the Super Casino review to reflect the change.

European live gaming is becoming a very Evolution affair. Next up... Flutter (aka Betfair and Paddy Power)

    It sure is.

Of course, back in the day when we were young and everything was new and an adventure we played Paddy Power tables at Evolution before they switched to Playtech.

(I still remember seeing all the disgruntled player comments fired off at the dealers for all the differences including dealer game speed and excessive keyboard use.)
