had to wait until the second round of offers

One of the notable absentees from the list is William Hill.

Confirmation of their decision NOT to participate in the Swedish market came in a note from them today...

We would like to inform you that following recent changes to the betting and gambling laws which come into effect on January 1st 2019 in Sweden, William Hill will cease to be able to accept business from customers residing in Sweden across the following brands: William Hill / Eurogrand / William Hill Casino Club. These restrictions will come into effect on December 31st 2018, 13:00 CET.

This means that none of the above mentioned brands will be available anymore to players residing in Sweden after December 31st 2018. Nevertheless, players will still be able to access their old accounts in order to withdraw funds until January 31st 2019.
No need for Hill's to get a license with their recently acquired Mr Green (and Evoke brands) already well positioned.
