    Leo Vegas closing in Switzerland

Leo Vegas will this month exit the Swiss market. Email just in...

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. Therefore, we sadly announce the closing down of the Swiss market within LeoVegas. We will proceed to close this market as set out hereunder, in line with applicable laws, regulations and licence terms.

LeoVegas will disable all sign ups (Casino, Live Casino and Sports) on Wednesday 19th June 2019, therefore players from Switzerland shall no longer be able to sign up as from that day forward.

Furthermore, all games will be disabled from Sunday 30th June and deposits will be disabled from Friday 28th June 2019 onward, leaving players only to withdraw funds.

More closures in the Swiss market...William Hill group brands William Hill and EuroGrand.

Players from Switzerland will not be able to access any of their online products from 28 June. Account access to withdraw funds will be open until 31 July. Thereafter customer support will need to be contacted to make arrangements.

Also out are Mr Green and Betway. More to follow no doubt before end of June.

    Close voluntarily or be blocked.

That's pretty much the equation for all non-Swiss based online gambling sites when the new Switzerland online gambling regime takes effect July 1.

Only local casinos (and lotteries) will be able to obtain online gambling concessions.

Today Evolution announced they'll be supplying Grand Casino Baden in the newly regulated market (via their online site jackpots.ch). No word on how soon Evo's live games will be up and running at jackpots.ch.

A word from Marcel Tobler, Grand Casino Baden CFO on the new partnership...

“This was an easy decision for us. Evolution has an excellent record in helping its licensees to launch world-class Live Casino services into regulated markets globally. At Grand Casino Baden we pride ourselves on providing an unrivalled range of offers and service to our players. Harnessing Evolution’s Live Casino will undoubtedly help us to consolidate and develop our position as one of Europe’s most highly regarded casinos.”
