It's based on poker with poker hand ranks (both 3 and 5 card) determining whether, and how much you win.

But unlike any form of live poker, there's no decision making required during the deal. Pretty simple game really (reflected in RTP, below)

    You choose your initial bets...
    • 3 Card Hand (the first 3 cards form a paying 3 card poker hand), and/or
    • 5 Card Hand (the first 5 cards form a paying 5 card poker hand, and/or
    • 7 Card Hand (all 7 cards dealt form a paying 5 card poker hand, and/or
    • All Lose (no paying hands are dealt)

Then 7 cards are dealt (from a single deck)...

As any paying combinations are dealt, they are highlighted in the payout indicator bottom right of the UI, enlarged for illustrative purposes below.

    In this particular hand,
    • a pair pays for the 3 Card Hand,
    • 3 of a Kind pays for the 5 Card Hand,
    • 3 of a Kind pays for the 7 Card Hand (but smaller payout than 5 Card).

    Payouts and Returns

In addition to the payouts for the 3, 5, and 7 Card Hand bets, you get 0.7:1 for the All Lose Bet

    Theoretical Returns:

    • 3 Card Hand: 96.69%
    • 5 Card Hand: 95.21%
    • 7 Card Hand: 94.34%
    • All Lose: 96.29%

None of which are overly generous.

In terms of optimum playing strategy, my advice would be play a different game!

If you want to play Side Bet City, your optimum play is sticking to the 3 Card Hand, and hoping for a lot of luck!

    Where can you play?

Leo Vegas are one of the first adopters. They also happen to be giving away 2 trips to Las Vegas in a Side Bet City launch promo.

Also now at William Hill, Unibet
