It's impressive how the dealers stay focused enough to deliver the next card to the correct seat

I remember having a go dealing in Evolution's 'academy' (where training happens) where they replicate the dealing environment to train new dealers.

There's a monitor in front of the table, by the camera with state of play updates...hit/stand etc decisions, and player chat. It's not easy. Just the dealing is challenging. Then maintaining multiple conversations on top of that is a skill that is definitely under appreciated by players.

And that was a standard deal, not having to also adjust for deal order based on player speed.

Besides the hassle from "those" players we've all encountered who think they are so clever.

The big negative that I see is Evolution opening itself up to more claims from the cheating conspiracy brigade.

Along the lines of the next card is scanned and only then the dealer guided as to which seat to deliver the card to ie. generate more frequent player busts etc.


Presumably that’s a reason for the message saying wait for X player/s to receive a card to help negate such accusations.

Enjoyed a nice little win streak getting the hang of one of the Speed Blackjack tables.

Bet rounds are definitely a lot faster than all the regular deal tables. Everyone being prompted to decide immediately after the deal, rather than in turn helps. But players at the table also seemed to be faster decision makers...makes sense that fast players would choose these tables. Not so many excruciating dilly-dally moments.

Dealers seem to be pretty quick too (although Edgars needed his morning coffee).

One guy I played last night seemed like he was on speed!

Somewhat of a throttling effect bottleneck when you survey all the speed tables in the casino lobby and a big majority are currently ‘paused’ while the dealer shuffles the cards. But that is the socially distant times we are living in.
