Live dealer baccarat

The high rollers’ game, live baccarat was not surprisingly one of the first games offered by online casinos in live dealer format. It’s also a great fit for live gaming as it’s a natural ‘one-to-many’ game where a single deal on a single table can cater to many online players.

What are the different rule variations?

Most providers and casinos offer standard Punto Banco baccarat on single-player and/or multi-seat tables (an aesthetic difference only, as single seat tables are still played by multiple players).

Commonly titled as regular baccarat, commission baccarat or simply ‘baccarat’, these tables offer the standard payouts for Banker (0.95:1), Player (1:1) and Tie bets (8:1).

All the major providers now also offer No Commission or Super 6 Baccarat payout variations. On these tables, the payout structure is slightly different: Banker (1:1, unless Banker win value 6, then 0.5:1), Player (1:1)  and Tie bet (8:1). Usually the Super 6 side bet will also be offered, paying 12:1 for a Banker win of value 6.

In all other respects – deal, win conditions, third card rules the versions are the same. In fact, some providers allow you to switch between No Commission or Commission payout structure at the click of a button on a given table.

There are also baccarat based games with significant departures from conventional rules and payout structures. Games which introduce computer generated random payout multipliers for example. Or games offering the ability to double or triple your initial bets after peeking at the cards, like Peek Baccarat.

These types of baccarat games are not displayed below. You can find them at our baccarat based live games page.

What are the different deal types?

Different deal types are now also offered on live online baccarat tables: speed deal, regular deal, 6 card scanner or 6 cards out deal, dealer controlled card squeeze or player controlled card squeeze (select ‘card peek’ below to view these tables).

The major providers have gone to great lengths to ensure all player preferences are now catered for. It is important to remember that none of the above deal variations effect the game outcome.

No matter which variation you choose, live baccarat is a very simple game to play with little strategy needed (aside from selecting the correct starting bet). Bet Player, Banker or Tie (or your chosen side-bet) and the dealer does the rest.
