Microgaming live baccarat rules

All variations played with eight standard decks of 52 cards. The decks are shuffled after every game. The games are played with a live Dealer. Each game is assigned a unique Deal Number.

Standard live baccarat rules

The Dealer deals two hands, one for the Player and one for the Banker. The objective of the game is to predict what hand will be closer to the value of nine or if the hands will tie.

There are different bet types you can bet in Baccarat. The bet types are:
Banker
Player
Tie
Banker and Tie
Player and Tie

The following general rules apply:
  1. The Player's first card is always dealt before the Banker's first card.
     
  2. If you bet on the Banker's hand, and the hand wins, you pay a 5% commission to the House.
     
  3. King's, Queen's, Jack's and Ten's have a zero point value.

Third Card Rules

A third card can be dealt depending on the following rules:
 
  1. If the Player or the Banker has a total of an 8 or a 9 they both must stand.
    Note:
    This rule overrides all others.
     
  2. The Banker can get a third card, if the Player stands and the Banker's total is 5 or less.
     
  3. If the Player's total is 5 or less, then the Player gets a third card.
     
  4. If the Player gets a third card, use the chart below to determine if the Banker gets a third card.

Payout Rules

The following payout rules apply:

  1. If the hand that you bet on wins, you win double your original bet amount, unless you bet on a tie.
     
  2. If you bet on a tie, and win, you are paid eight times your original bet amount.
     
  3. If you bet on the Banker's hand, and win, the House charges a 5% commission.

You can place different bet types on the table during a Baccarat game.

Other General Terms

Burn Cards
After a shuffle and cut, one card is placed at the bottom of the deck or in a discard tray. The card that is removed from play is called a burn card.

Denomination
The denomination of each card is its number from two through ten, or is Jack, Queen, King or Ace.

Natural Hand
A natural hand is a hand where the point count of the first two cards dealt is 8 or 9.

Non-Natural Hand
A non-natural hand is a hand where the point count of the first two cards dealt is not 8 or 9.

Note:
Any three card hand is also a non-natural hand.

Pair
Two cards of the same value, such as a Four of Hearts and a Four of Clubs.

Pip
A Pip is the spot or mark on the face of a card that indicates the value of the card.

Point Count
The value of the Player's or the Banker's hand.

Push
When the Player's and the Banker's hand tie with a natural hand, this is called a Push. Your original bet amount is returned to you.

Shoe
A shoe is a box that the Dealer uses to hold one or more decks of cards.

Suit
Any of the four sets in a deck of cards.

Example

Tie
When the Player's and Banker's point count have the same value after all cards are dealt.

Void Hand
An error was made by the Dealer and all cards dealt in a specific hand are considered void.

In this version of Dragon Bonus Baccarat, the game is played with a live Dealer. Each game is assigned a unique Deal Number.

The following Dragon Bonus side bet rules apply:
  1. Dragon Bonus Baccarat has side bets for additional payouts.
     
  2. The side bets are not compulsory. You can choose to place a bet on either the Banker Bonus betting area or the Player Bonus betting area.
     
  3. The side bets are made at the beginning of a game, when the main bets are placed.
     
  4. If the hand you placed a side bet on wins, you only qualify for bonus payouts if you have a bonus hand.
     
  5. If you have a bonus hand, your payout odds relate to the point count margin your bonus hand wins by.
     
  6. Dragon Bonus payouts are independent of the Dealer's hand.

 

Dragon Bonus Side-bet Payouts

Bonus side bet winning hands in Dragon Bonus Baccarat depend on the hand combination you bet on and the value margin your hand wins by.
