Live Beyond Live is a basically a fully immersive 3-D live casino environment.
Or, in more detail:
Once you open the doors to the Los Angeles virtual penthouse casino you will find a multi-table environment with live dealers and a choice of different tables to join (ie. a fancy lobby)
The launch spiel draws attention to technological advances with the use of moving background assets in a deep field virtual environment.
Other advances mentioned include multiple tables, additional angles, higher-quality blackjack tables, real time notifications from other tables and improved audio quality. Although I would say we already have those from other providers, barring the audio quality which remains a major bugbear of mine, especially when you hear dealers chat at other tables louder than your dealer (Playtech's new Lounge tables being the latest example).
Development costs for the new casino product have been shared between NetEnt and Mr Green. With Mr Green having exclusive rights for the next 12 months.
Live Beyond Live will also be launched on desktop in the second quarter of 2018.
I don't know if it was launch day teething problems, or issues at my side(probably!) but I didn't have much/any success opening the new experience on mobile.
After a overdue lengthy forced system update on the old iPad, I could only get as far the 3-D virtual depicted penthouse,

Hopefully more success another day.....meanwhile the (roulette) ball is in your court LD :)
Thanks for the heads up Fester...keen to have a look.
So am I understanding correctly that, in simple terms, Live Beyond Live is... table with live dealer in the foreground, fake/simulated/virtual casino floor and patrons in the background?Quote:
...technological advances with the use of moving background assets in a deep field virtual environment
Kind of like Casino Floor Roulette, only the casino floor is computer generated (and a little more glitzy no doubt  )
I would say so yes
....developing on what you already get at NetEnt but with tables presented in more camera angles.
With news from other tables relayed to you
& with the cyan shapes you can see in the first pic representing players already(seats taken) at a blackjack table etc. when you navigate the 3-D lobby (that's what I think was meant to appear in the last 2 pics).
Ah...so you can actually move through the virtual lobby as well?
I remember around 2000 there was an online casino called Avatar Casino where you could do this...then open an RNG table. Of course, they were based in Curaçao or Vanuatu or some place like that, and god only knows where you deposit ended up
Some progress...managed to see one of the blackjack tables,

The tables you see in the background (though obviously not really there) can be clicked on for dealer info, game history, to join etc.
Moving assets do include patrons.

With the performance I was getting on mobile it did look more like Avatar Casino mk2 than Live Beyond Live.
less progress getting onto roulette...half a table so far, but it gives you some idea,

By the marvel that is a new iPad (thank you casino benefactor) I've managed to experience Live Beyond Live playing smoothly as intended including a complete roulette table.
It appears you currently need a newer model that is capable of running iOS 11....on the same new iPad running under iOS 10 (before updating) the roulette table "glitch" remained.
so here's one of the roulette tables (2 roulette available) glitch free,
Attachment 5468
....you can see how information such as the overhead camera of the wheel & 36 result from other roulette table is overlaid
It does come across like a video game. Especially with some of those moving background assets, mostly just people, but at one point a helicopter zoomed up large filling the sky (I kid you not....missed capping it though, doh!), like a scene out of Grand Theft Auto.Quote:

LIVE Beyond LIVE is now available on desktop/laptop.
Mr Green are running a couple of LIVE Beyond LIVE leaderboards to make the launch
At Unibet they're calling it Virtual Studio
Below is a recording as played laptop. Couple of interesting/annoying UI features.
First...chat window covers entire table so if you're chatting you can't see what's going on ??
Second, blackjack bet calls to action (eg hit/stand, insurance/no insurance) appear at opposite sides of the screen rather than next to each other.
Rather strange and initially confusing. I stood on 10 my first hand because I couldn't find the hit button next to the stand button.

LIVE Beyond LIVE looks to have come to and end and evolved into a better looking product at Mr Green.
Now under the label Penthouse (when accessing from desktop). The NetEnt virtual studio complete with other tables always visible (wherever you sit), does away with the video game feel for more realism - no helicopter encounters so far!.

... couple of examples of the great job NetEnt have done with the new look virtual open plan studio floor combining individual table captures,

Here you can see how tables switch position maintaining your table center stage at the front of the action.
As you know Fester, this had me completely fooled. I initially thought I was looking at a real open plan studio floor.Quote:

Great job indeed.Vast improvement on LBL
Just need to expand game range beyond blackjack and roulette
They (NetEnt) do know & are incoming.Quote:
