Diamond VIP blackjack
Diamond by name, and you may need to sell a couple of diamonds to play at the table.
Minimum bet at the table is £/€ 1,000
Although curiously the maximum bet is no higher than the other VIP tables (at the casinos I visited).

Table is a nice change of colour, and the backdrop wall looks better than the Evolution retro fireplaces etc.
Even the old VIP area carpet complements the wall panel detail.
Another table with lonely/bored live dealers? (like Playtech's VIP live baccarat) Or is this one getting some more action?Quote:

ps is that your £1K chip on the table Fester?
it sure was, with no money left for side bets ... then I chickened out :DQuote:

& bet behind is not allowed at high limit Evolution tables (VIP, Will Hill tables etc)
Table is already available on mobile devices.
Not that I would want to risk Internet connection dropping at moment of hitting on 11
No doubt Diamond VIP is a strategy to make sure there are always seats available for the high rollers that do like to bet in the multiple 000's.Quote:
curiously the maximum bet is no higher than the other VIP tables
Even the red VIP tables, particularly those with lower min's, tend to get a bit crowded sometimes and it stands to reason Evolution and the operators want to avoid £50 a hand players preventing £3K a hand players from being able to take a seat.
Which casinos have already adopted? Usual suspects...WHilll, 888, Unibet ?
Almost absolutely useless table. IMHO. For example, WH has their dedicated table 100-10000 (never seen full) and this one (also from WH) is 1000-5000. From Unibet all red tables are 100/200 - 10000, grey 500 - 10000 and this one 2000 - 10000. From Bwin red tables are 50/1000 - 5000, grey 250-5000, this one 1000 - 5000. So, minimum bet is worse, maximum bet is the same. Can't imagine what can make me play there.
Maximum bet is higher at 888 - £/€10,000 cf red tables.Quote:

ps. hello, Your Majesty
I'm hearing you Legend. And I suspect most players would be of the same opinion.Quote:

However, gamblers (high rollers in particular) can be an idiosyncratic lot and who knows what appeals to each individual.
As an example, there are players who are of the belief that their results will be negatively effected by others at the table not playing sound basic strategy. Some prefer to have the entire table to themselves.
I'm sure there will also be players who get annoyed or frustrated at the time other players take to make decisions, and want the rhythm of a one-to-one deal.
These types of individuals might like the idea of the Diamond VIP table, and Evolution and it's operators will be happy to run a table that is mostly empty just for these players
Evolution has a lot of players who can be quite aggressive to any players not following basic strategy. They don't seem to comprehend basic strategy only applies to their hand.Quote:

On a wider note, one of the main problems with private tables is every player seeing each other's chat. It leads to player abuse from fellow players. It used to be just a Evolution phenomenon (as they had so many private tables), then increased at Playtech with the arrival of several dedicated areas.
At Evolution there's an option setting to hide other players chat. Why not also have the general option to hide your chat from other players? At least then you could hold a conversation with the dealer without other players lurking in the background.
See a lot of this in bricks and mortar casinos. Players getting visibly annoyed and sometimes abusive toward others based on their playing decisions (throw alcohol into this mix - never helps with logic :) ).Quote:

As misguided as it is...if they are big players the casinos will want to pander to their beliefs.
Just went to check out (not play) this table...not available when I logged in at 888, Unibet, WH or Betvictor.
Is it:
- available at certain times only, or
- only visible/available to players with a balance > £€1k
in which case my $110 (888), $350 (Unibet), $350 (WH), $750 (Betvictor) doesn't get me a look in :(
Table only open at busiest player time. So evening time in Europe.
The only thing i know for sure: if i decide to play BJ in high-roller style, i'd better visit NetEnt (available from Unibet, Sportingbet and etc) where limits are $10-50 000, or common draw table (unlimited, 1 hand to all players, much better and faster than similar unlimited BJ from Playtech) at the same place with $1- 10 000 range. That's why i called that table absolutelly useless or totally useless because what for do i need 1000-10000 when i can play 1-10000 at the same time.
Different casinos have different settings. Some hide chat from other players, some hide other players chat. Unibet hides chat from other players everywhere, but holdem and 3-card poker, where also "hide other players chat". Bwin hides chat from other players everywhere but holdem (doesn't have 3-card poker table). WH hides other players chat only. Some other casinos have it option (hide other players chat) as default which can't be changed at all.
P.s. And Diamond Blackjack table is not working right now. It's weekend, afternoon, almost prime-time but table isn't working...
Of course they pander to big players in several ways ... leaderboard race promotions etc.
But I always think, imagine that player not following basic strategy is a new player, their first steps into the delights of online casino, and they are subjected to all the abuse. Often the player leaves after a couple of hands. Certainly not the best welcome for new players, if they choose to come back.
Plenty of casino chips on the table tonight.

Player 78345 was placing 2000 on 3 seats everytime, plus all the side bets at 100.
Guess it comes down to personal preference in the end.Quote:

High rollers who don't like a Shufflemaster deal would avoid the Netentertainment tables.
The common draw (Netent) and unlimited (Ptech) tables aren't everyone's cup of tea either...different Spit rules, unconventional deal etc
You going by the nick Player 78345 these days Fester? :DQuote:

Player 78345 would have turned over more $ per hour than the 70 players on the Blackjack Party table. I reckon Diamond Blackjack is here to stay
Ok. Tastes differ. Have anything to say about "not very random" results made by Shufflemaster ? I'll be more than happy to read...
P.S. This table is physically located close to Platinum VIP BJ (grey color) and at the same time not far from Blackjack C (green) and green roulette. Dealer's voices from blackjacks can be heard and that moment when the ball hits winning number.
Many blackjack players prefer to observe the shoe progression, hence LD's previous thread here, as opposed to a machine (or RNG) deal.
I'll try anything LD to stop 'majestic legends' ^ ^ or whatever grandiose name stalking me around the tables ;)Quote:

No. I'm sure they're completely random. It's just some players prefer to play from a depleting shoe...even one with the cut card inserted mid-shoe to make it difficult/impossible to take advantage of a count.Quote:

Logic doesn't necessarily play a part. The need to squeeze cards (for some baccarat players) is proof of that.
There is more trust required with a Shufflemaster though. When you see a manual shuffle on the table you know that shoe is random.
When you play a Shufflemaster you are trusting the machine is randomly shuffling. Just like when you play an RNG game you're trusting the computer program to generate a random outcome.
For some players this is a leap of faith they're not willing to take.
Thanks for saying what I was thinking LD.
Goes in hand with your previous thread regarding cutting card shoe depth.
I always remember seeing The Dealer ask the pit boss to check the position of cutting card, when she thought it had been placed too deep by the shuffler ... I wasn't trying to card count, honestly :D
Ok. Your opinion counts. Thanks
Now dealers working at this table are not allowed to talk to visitors who are not playing (before place is taken, player is just a visitor). I think they can make some more improvements: players with balance less than minimum bet (1000 $,€,£ and so on) should not be even able to join with some message : "You are too poor and needy for VIP Diamond Blackjack". And tired dealers will finally have some time to sleep while sitting there alone. Also they should think about some alarm sound (the louder - the better) every time new player joins .
As a rule of thumb LD Evolution casinos don't hide tables from players dependant on account balance or VIP status.Quote:

Table minimum around casinos is typically £/€250 (as with the other grey 'Platinum' table)
It would seem the high limit tables are indeed a success at Evolution.

At the first picture (VIP H) we can see a table behind dealer's left shoulder. Closer look shows it's VIP F ...

The moral of this fable is: Fortune VIP Blackjack is located at the same place instead of VIP F.
P.S. Such a useful information. How could you live without that

The new Grand VIP table comes with a £/€500 minimum.
Table is in the space vacated by the now closed red baccarat table.
The high limit Grand & Fortune VIP blackjack tables at Evolution have a new secluded studio setting utilising the baccarat dealers/styling.

Just a slightly off-topic observation... looks like their new Baccarat Controlled Squeeze table in the background. Different to the regular Baccarat Squeeze table, in that the player gets to control the squeeze (you can just make out the in-lay glass panels the cards are dealt onto).
At first sight I thought possibly it was a new Russian language baccarat table, as with the roulette & blackjack in the Riga studio (not Malta). Then I heard the baccarat dealer speaking English and noticed the glass panels.
The Controlled Squeeze table is now live at Leo Vegas, 888, Unibet, BetVictor........Quote:

It's a player controlled squeeze for all. NOT just for the high rollers who would most likely be found playing at Grand & Fortune blackjack.
..... LD's new blog has more details re the Baccarat Controlled Squeeze table including a video recording.
Off-topic finished (possibly).
