Playtech opened its European dealer studio, situated in Latvia, in early 2009 to provide a more European centric live dealer offering.  Roulette, baccarat and blackjack are all streamed out of the new dealer room using vision that is a substantial improvement on that found on the original Asian live platform.

The new blackjack interface's functionality and overall look and feel has not changed substantially from the original Asian platform.  Where significant improvements have been made is in the quality of the video feed.  Lighting, resolution, and studio ambience are all enhanced to provide a far more pleasant gaming experience.

Another key change was a result of an identified European live gaming player preference for faster deals.  As a result, wait time between deals has been reduced from 30 seconds to 15 seconds. Similarly, time afforded for player bet selection has also been reduced from 30 seconds to 15 seconds.

	Playtech (European dealer studio) Blackjack lobby A reasonable selection of tables, dealers and bet limit ranges to choose from with Playtech's European dealers. The range is not quite as extensive yet as its Asian counterpart but this is understandable given it's still a relatively new platform and will likely change over time.

	Playtech (European dealer studio) Blackjack - enlarged video view Clicking on the inset video in the above 'standard view' presents a full screen enlarged video stream as shown at left.  A recent upgrade to this feature has seen full interface functionality added to the full screen view so you can play, chat, check stats etc all in full screen mode. See edge of screen 'slide out' menus. Video clarity is impressive.
