Live blackjack from Playtech's Asian dealer room used to be no frills gaming on one of the oldest live casino platforms on the net.  It's been revamped lately and is now a much more impressive offering.

House rules

These have not changed at all...all changes, while significant from a playability perspective, are cosmetic. You can read the full house rules here, but below are the essentials...

• Decks in shoe: 8

• Shuffle: Mid-shoe. New shoe pre-shuffled with random card burn before new-shoe deal. Number of cards burned dictated by first drawn card.

• Blackjack pays: 3 to 2

• Dealer must: Stands all 17+ (hard and soft)

• Insurance offered: Yes – pays 2 to 1

• Double down offered: Yes

• Double after splitting: Yes

• Split Aces: Yes – but can only draw 1 more card

• Re-split: No – only one split permitted

Interface

Spectacular. Super intuitive console with one-click access to bet options, help, window customization (full video or small video) and game lobby should you wish to change tables.

Gone is the bland blue background and lonely, disinterested looking dealers. In its place is a vibrant, open plan casino studio floor, filled with very attractive and friendly dealers, streamed to your computer in high definition clarity.

Audio is clear, and the dealers are now wired for chat. They do seem to be very chatty.

If ambience or look & feel are important to you then blackjack dealt from Playtech's Asian dealer studios is not the best option for you.  Try Evolution Gaming's blackjack instead, or even Playtech's new European dealer blackjack for that matter. 

Now arguably one of the best looking and most playable live blackjack games you'll find online.
