Live roulette from Playtech's European dealer studio offers all of the features and functionality of Playtech's Asian dealer studio roulette with a few tweaks to enhance the offering and make it better suited to European player preferences.

The first, and most obvious difference is the quality of the video stream.  The vision is lighter, higher resolution, smoother and considerably more aesthetically pleasing with a more ambient dealer and table environment than the older Asian studio games.  The improvement in vision quality is most notable when the video is enlarged to full screen view (by clicking the inset video in standard view).

Another important difference is the reduced time between spins that players are given to lay their bets.  30 seconds is offered here, down from the 40 seconds provided on the Asian roulette platform.  Apparently faster game play was identified as a key European player gripe with the Asian studio games and this concern has been addressed here.

Aside from the above, interface look and feel and functionality remain largely unchanged from the previous platform, which incidentally remains in use by a number of Playtech licensee casinos.

Currently 2 games are offered...

  • European roulette - the original 'vanilla' flavored live single zero game;

  • European roulette pro - as above but with added features including race track on the table layout for neighbour and call bets, and additional stats presentations.

French Roulette, already offered on the Asian dealer room platform is no doubt on its way.

Features

- Browser play: available in Adobe Flash games menu, no download required;
